September 19th, 2010I got a little time this weekend and decided to start back on World Headers Cup (I know it’s been a while!), I managed to code up an achievement equivalent system although i’m still thinking about how I could implement it to be football specific and something players would enjoy. I’ve got a few ideas for a few new modes etc… now I don’t have the time pressure of releasing it for the World Cup so hopefully it can be alot more polished. Hopefully i’ll FINALLY be able to get this finished over the next month.

July 28th, 2010Well i’ve decided to take a wee break from World Headers Cup after missing the world cup! I’ll polish it up and release it at some point but i’ve got other games up my sleeve … time to get the creative juices flowing!

World Cup … nae work
June 27th, 2010Argh!! Why is it whenever I plan to do something I end up not doing it? Well the World Headers Cup game still needs work whereas I’ve been sitting watching the world cup avoiding it! Anyway hopefully will get a wee video up at some point soon but there is NO CHANCE now of it coming out before the world cup ends but ahh well hopefully someone will buy it while they cry salty tears of sadness that the world cup finished months ago.
I’m thinking about updating some of the pages on the website as well i’ve been neglecting it for too long but it’s time to update most of it but we’ll see if the weather and world cup will stop me bothering.
Update, what have I been doing?
June 6th, 2010Well so much for me updating the site more often with more time! Life has suddenly taken over my time but I’ve finally got a chance to update World Headers Cup, although it isn’t going to make it for the world cup starting hopefully i’ll be able to finish it before the end of the World Cup. Click the picture for a look full size.
Even in that screenshot that still has a few bits and pieces to be updated before it’s flung in for playtest but it’s coming together … slowly.
I’ll give a wee list of things I’ve updated:
* Can now send a message to a friend about the game over Xbox LIVE
* Can start the game with any attached controller
* Graphics
* Modified the menu system to be more robust
* Tweaked the gameplay
* Animated some of the crowd
Stuff still to get done (the dreaded list):
* Awards
* Leaderboards
* Some additional functionality
* Get all the crowd animating
* More Artwork shiz (for pretty much everything!)
* Advertising boards code + art
* Football shading
So got quite alot to do still.
